The international company Maisto is a leading producer of a wide range of scale and radio-controlled models. In 2006 Cheong Group, a Maisto subsidiary, acquired Bburago's main assets.
Its centres for developing and producing new models are in Hong Kong and California. The models on its production lines are continually updated.
Improving quality became an urgent issue for Maisto in 2006. Rising raw-material prices and Chinese-made models did not satisfy the owners, so the company comprehensively reviewed its materials and introduced modern production lines.
