Aston Martin DB9 Vantage

The DB9 Vantage replaced the DB7 in 2004. It inherited rear-wheel drive and a six-litre V12, with output increased to 456 hp. Aluminium made the car lighter and, naturally, faster: top speed exceeded 300 km/h and acceleration to 100 km/h took 4.8 seconds. Peak torque was 579 Nm at 5,000 rpm.

The Aston Martin DB9 Vantage closely resembled the British marque’s legendary models. Against its rivals, the luxury sports car stood out for its restrained modernity and spirit of long-established tradition. Despite the 2+2 layout, rear passenger space was almost nonexistent and the boot held just 172 litres. Wood and leather dominated the cabin, with metal inserts emphasising its sober character.
