Audi Q7 2006

Audi entered the luxury crossover segment in 2006 with the Q7. The car was large and spacious, standing out among its platform-sharing relatives. Numerous electronic systems and all-wheel drive provided safety.

The manufacturer mainly offered diesel versions in Europe. The badge on the scale model shown identifies the 4.2 TDI engine producing 326 hp. It took the 2.5-tonne crossover to 236 km/h and from rest to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds.

The model is in 1:43 scale. Its matt sea-green paint is not particularly typical of the Q7. It also seems odd to see this car in the ‘Supercars’ series. The six-litre V12 diesel version, producing 500 hp, would have been a more convincing choice.
