Bugatti Veyron 2009 Top Gear

The first Bugatti Veyron was unveiled in 2005, but had won over wealthy customers’ wallets even before its official premiere. Rich buyers readily paid at least €1.4 million for the world’s fastest car. The base 1,001 hp version reached 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and 300 km/h in 16.7 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 407 km/h.

The scale model faithfully reproduces the Bugatti Veyron driven by the Stig on a fast lap for Top Gear. His time was 1:18.5, beaten in 2009 only by the Caterham R500. Top Gear named the Veyron its ‘Car of the Decade’.
