The car’s story
The Ferrari 250 GT 2+2 is regarded as a genuine four-seat coupé in the Maranello marque’s range. The production car debuted in Paris in 1960. Production ended in 1962 after around 950 rear-wheel-drive coupés had been built.
Italians remember this model as a police car. Driven by Armando Spatafora of Rome’s criminal police, it struck fear into the capital’s car thieves and criminals. Its 2,953 cc engine produced 240 hp at 7,000 rpm. Weighing 1,280 kg, the car reached 240 km/h.
