The car’s story
The Ferrari 360 Spider was introduced in 2000. This roadster was the twentieth model in the company’s line of road-going convertibles. Its 3,596 cc V8 produced 400 hp at 8,500 rpm. Peak torque of 373 Nm arrived at 4,750 rpm, top speed exceeded 290 km/h and the sprint to 100 km/h took 4.6 seconds.
The automatic roof system was an original design. A specially developed electrohydraulic mechanism opened or closed it in 20 seconds. The frame was made from aluminium and pressed steel, covered with fabric. Blue, beige, grey and black colours were available. The Ferrari 360 Spider’s roof folded into the space between the seats and the fire-resistant bulkhead ahead of the engine.
