Ferrari California

The two-seat Ferrari California hardtop convertible debuted in Paris in 2008. Inspired by the legendary 1950s 250 GT California, it shares features such as the elegant central bonnet intake and small body-coloured grilles on either side. Pininfarina designed the car, while its engineering drew on Ferrari’s best Formula One developments.

The rear-wheel-drive car used a direct-injection 4,297 cc V8 producing 460 PS at 7,750 rpm. Top speed was 310 km/h and 0–100 km/h took around four seconds. It was Ferrari’s first road car with a front-mounted V8 and its first with a hard roof that disappeared entirely into the boot, in no more than 14 seconds.
