The car’s story
The Ferrari Dino 246 GTS roadster was the company’s first model with an engine ahead of the rear axle whose design involved active participation by FIAT specialists. It was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1972 and named after Dino Ferrari.
Unlike the coupé, the Dino 246 GTS designation includes an S standing for Spider. The number 246 indicates a six-cylinder engine displacing 2,419 cc. It produces 195 hp at 7,600 rpm. The Ferrari Dino 246 GTS has a top speed of no more than 245 km/h and accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds. During its production run from 1972 to 1974, Ferrari built 1,274 examples with the Spider body.
