The car’s story
The Ferrari FXX is an enhanced version of the road-going Enzo, unveiled at the Bologna Motor Show in 2005. Only 29 were built, costing €1.5 million and usable only on a racing circuit. Demand greatly exceeded the announced production run. This was unsurprising: Ferrari’s Formula One engineers refined it using the team’s best developments.
The FXX used a 48-valve petrol V12 displacing 6,262.45 cc, with twin overhead camshafts for each cylinder bank. It produced 800 PS at 8,500 rpm. Speed exceeded 350 km/h thanks to comprehensive hydraulic control, body aerodynamics and special 19-inch Bridgestone slick tyres developed for the model.
