The car’s story
The Ferrari Mondial coupé entered production in 1980, but the Cabriolet followed only in 1983. The open car was beautiful and deservedly popular with enthusiasts. The Mondial name recalled Ferrari’s early-1950s 500 Mondial racer. By 1985, 629 open sports cars had been assembled.
Pininfarina handled the design. A three-litre V8 producing 240 hp propelled the convertible to 240 km/h. Its folding fabric roof was operated manually.
