The car’s story
The Fiat 508 Balilla Sport is the sporting version of the 508 Balilla. Entering production in 1933, it became Fiat’s first series-produced sports car. Its two-seat body featured an attractive aerodynamic fairing at the rear.
The 508S, as it was sometimes designated, initially used a side-valve engine. From 1934 it received an overhead-valve inline four, which enabled the car to reach 120 km/h.
