Ford Mustang DTM 1993 Challenger J. Feucht

Three Ford Mustang GTs competed in the DTM racing series in 1993. Car No. 13 was driven by Jürgen Feucht. Throughout their participation, the driver and The Challenger / Buffalo Boots team achieved no success.

The Ford Mustang GT DTM used a 5-litre, 90-degree V8 producing 540 hp. The specifications mention 7,200 rpm, with torque of 580 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine was developed by Matt Johnson and Scott Newbury of Ford in Orlando, Florida. Top speed exceeded 300 km/h and weight was 1,100 kg. The gearbox was made by Finland’s ATAgears, which also supplied gearboxes to Ferrari’s Formula One team. The front and rear bumpers, doors and bonnet were made of carbon fibre.
