Ford Mustang DTM 1994 Team Ruch J. Ruch

Ruch Motorsport entered two Ford Mustang GTs in the DTM series in 1993 and 1994. Car No. 23 was driven by Jürgen Ruch. Throughout their participation, the driver and Team Ruch / Ruch Motorsport achieved no success.

The Ford Mustang GT DTM had a 5-litre, 90-degree V8 producing 540 hp. The specifications mention 7,200 rpm and torque of 580 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Matt Johnson and Scott Newbury of Ford in Orlando, Florida developed the engine. Top speed exceeded 300 km/h and weight was 1,100 kg. The gearbox came from Finland’s ATAgears, also a supplier to Ferrari’s Formula One team. The front and rear bumpers, doors and bonnet were carbon fibre.
