Ford Mustang Mach 1 The Bond Collection

The Ford Mustang Mach 1 scale model from The Bond Collection reproduces one of the cars used in Diamonds Are Forever. This is the seventh James Bond film, based on Ian Fleming's novel.

Sean Connery played the lead. Bond is assigned to investigate the theft of a large consignment of South African diamonds, which his enemies need to increase the power of a giant space laser and destroy nuclear weapons.

Some accounts say at least six Mach 1s were used, mainly 302 versions, with one 351 and one 429. There is a continuity error: the Mustang enters a narrow gap between buildings tilted to the right but emerges tilted to the left. Three different studios filmed the sequence. Witnesses said at least four 302 cars were rolled onto their roofs while performing the stunt.
