The car’s story
The last GAZ-21US Volga rolled off the Gorky Automobile Plant's assembly line on 15 July 1970. Painted anthracite (graphite), it had body number 334312, engine number 1210388 and chassis number 638798. The car took pride of place in the GAZ factory museum.
The GAZ-21US differed from the standard third-series models in its upgraded trim. It was sold mainly on the domestic market, though some cars were exported, but only with the 75-horsepower engine.
