GAZ-24 Volga Police 1973 Ivan Vasilievich Changes Profession

At the end of Ivan Vasilievich Changes Profession, a GAZ-24 Volga police car arrives for the characters after a call from the building management. This scale model accurately reproduces an early version of the police vehicle.

This can be seen from the illuminated sign on the boot.

A few words about the Mosfilm production: the Soviet comedy was released in 1973, directed by Leonid Gaidai and based on Mikhail Bulgakov's play Ivan Vasilievich. It begins with Shurik, identified as actor Alexander Sergeyevich Timofeyev, building a time machine. An explosion during its start-up knocks him unconscious, after which familiar characters appear: building manager Bunsha, his wife Ulyana Andreyevna, Tsar Ivan Vasilievich the Terrible and others.
