GAZ-3302 Ratnik cash-in-transit vehicle

Tekhnika’s designers converted the armoured GAZ-3302 Ratnik into a cash-in-transit vehicle. It carried four crew and no more than 900 kg of cargo. Class 3 protection resisted fire from a Kalashnikov rifle.

The body was an armoured capsule of flat metal plates with open firing ports. Its rear resembled an armoured personnel carrier more than an urban cash van. The tank and battery received extra protection, and leaf springs were strengthened for the added weight.

Side windows were replaced with multilayer glazing. A curved bullet-resistant windscreen had to be specially developed and manufactured to avoid dividing it into sections. A fire-extinguishing system was fitted in the engine compartment.
