The car’s story
The GAZ-AA truck had a separate chassis frame and leaf-spring suspension. Until 1938, it used a 3.28-litre engine producing 40 PS, followed by the upgraded GAZ-MM engine with the same displacement and an output of 50 PS. Top speed did not exceed 70 km/h, and fuel consumption was around 19.5 litres per 100 km. Its low compression ratio even allowed the engine to run on kerosene.
