GAZ 21 Volga Czechoslovak Police Prague 1967

The scale model of the GAZ 21 Volga Czechoslovak Police car, Prague 1967, is a reissue of a model released by FOX Toys several years earlier. That earlier version has already become a rarity and commands a considerable price. Several changes were made to the fittings, mainly to the external equipment, but they do not diminish the car’s legendary status or its importance to a collector who owns it.

The model’s workmanship leaves something to be desired, as does the outdated tooling on which it is based. The flattened deer on the bonnet alone says a great deal. The paintwork also has flaws, particularly noticeable in the chrome-effect finish on the window frames.
