The car’s story
The Hummer H2 is an all-wheel-drive SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle — a vehicle with sporting features and an estate-style body, often simply called an off-roader) made by General Motors. Built on the GM GMT820 platform, it entered assembly in 2002 at the plant in Mishawaka, Indiana, USA.
Semi-knocked-down assembly began in Kaliningrad in 2004, and the Hummer H2 was discontinued in 2009.
The Hummer H2 was fitted with a 6.0-litre Vortec V8 producing 325 hp at 5,200 rpm and maximum torque of 488 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The engine has a special fuel delivery system incorporated into its electronic throttle control. This lets the driver choose between two accelerator response modes depending on whether the vehicle is on paved roads or off-road. The second Hummer uses one of the best Borg-Warner all-wheel-drive systems.
As for the scale model itself, Cararama’s rendition and its low price make it an excellent choice. The miniature features separate windscreen wipers, glass lights and a detailed underside.
