The car’s story
The KIM-10-50 scale model from Dip Models comes with certificate number 0845, matching its number among the 1,536 examples produced. The KIM-10-50 can effectively be called the first mass-produced Soviet small car. Its design was based on the 1939 Ford Prefect.
No more than 500 cars were made in 1940–1941. Production was halted at the outbreak of the German-Soviet war. Its engine displaced 1.172 litres and produced 30 hp, giving a top speed of around 90 km/h.
