The car’s story
The 1963 Lamborghini 350GTV concept, standing for Grand Tourism Velocity, was the marque's first model. Franco Scaglione designed the body at Turin's Carrozzeria Sergioto workshop.
Giotto Bizzarrini developed the 3,464 cc V12, with a 60-degree bank angle and output of 360 hp at 8,000 rpm. Acceleration to 100 km/h took 6.7 seconds, and top speed was 280 km/h. The engine was subsequently used in production Lamborghinis. Giorgio Neri and Luciano Bonacini built the chassis to Bizzarrini's design, based on a welded frame of square-section tubes.
