Lamborghini Countach

The Lamborghini Countach scale model by Del Prado, from the Car Collection partwork series, represents the car produced from 1974 to 1990. A total of 2,042 Countach cars were built. Marcello Gandini of the Bertone design studio created its styling. The Lamborghini Countach prototype was first shown at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show.

The name Countach comes from an exclamation of surprise used by some Italian men on seeing a beautiful girl or woman.

The Lamborghini Countach was the manufacturer’s first model with guillotine-type doors, also known as scissor doors: each door rose upwards and swung forwards. They became the model’s signature feature and were later used on other Lamborghinis.
