The car’s story
The best-known version of the Miura was the Lamborghini Miura SV, also called the Miura P400SV. It was produced from 1971 to 1973. The SV could be recognised by its wider wings and the absence of “eyebrows” around the headlights.
The improved version differed from the standard model in its revised engine and carburettor. Output from the 3,939 cc engine increased by 15 hp to 385 hp, allowing the car to reach 300 km/h. The gearbox received a lubrication system separate from the engine, making it possible to use more suitable oils and improve engine reliability.
A total of 150 Lamborghini Miura SVs were built, the last 50 additionally featuring a limited-slip differential.
