The car’s story
Replacing the Maserati GranSport in 2008, the GranTurismo greatly enhanced the Italian marque’s prestige and renewed interest among GT enthusiasts. The car proved comfortable and convenient, perhaps even ideal for everyday use. The two-door coupé could also accommodate four passengers in reasonable comfort.
The Maserati GranTurismo’s engine came from Ferrari. It was a naturally aspirated 4,244 cc petrol V8 producing 405 hp at 7,100 rpm. Maximum torque of 460 Nm arrived at 4,750 rpm, while top speed was 285 km/h. Acceleration to 100 km/h took 5.2 seconds.
