The car’s story
The unique Mercedes 150 Sport Roadster was unveiled at the 1935 International Automobile and Motorcycle Show in Berlin. Daimler-Benz AG built only a few examples over two years. It was a two-seat sports roadster with its engine mounted ahead of the rear axle.
The four-cylinder engine displaced just 1.5 litres and produced 54 hp at 4,600 rpm, giving a top speed of 125 km/h.
Distinctive exterior features included a soft top, a centrally mounted front headlamp, two side-mounted spare wheels, a steeply raked split windscreen and a tapering tail.
