Mercedes-Benz 200V G5 (W152) Mountain Troops Version 1938

The 1938 Mercedes-Benz G5 ‘Wehrmacht’ is a four-wheel-drive 4×4 command car. During its production run from 1937 to 1941, 378 vehicles were built, of which only 228 were civilian versions. The 200V G5 with the W152 designation is a development of the 170VG/VL. Distinctive features included trapezoidal doors and 250 mm of ground clearance, achieved by fitting larger tyres.

The 1938 Mercedes-Benz 200V G5 (W152) Gebirgstruppen-Ausführung was fitted with a four-cylinder engine of 2,008 cc. It produced 45 horsepower at 3,700 rpm. Top speed was 85 km/h, average fuel consumption was 18–27 litres per 100 km, and the fuel tank held 50 litres.
