Mercedes-Benz CLK Coupé C209

The second generation of the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 2002. This rear-wheel-drive four-seat coupé forms a separate model family in the Mercedes-Benz range. The C209 CLK-Class — Comfort Leicht Kurz, or comfort, light and short — is based on the W203 C-Class, although its styling is closer to the W211 E-Class. The car was assembled at the factory in Bremen, Germany.

This elegant coupé’s hallmark is its pillarless hardtop body with fully retractable side windows. Open the large sunroof as well and driving the CLK can feel much like being in a convertible. The engine range starts with a 163 hp 1.8-litre unit and extends to a 306 hp five-litre V8, not to mention the AMG version’s 367 hp 5.4-litre engine.
