Mercedes-Benz GL500

This scale model depicts the 2009 Mercedes-Benz GL500, the facelifted version of the full-size luxury SUV introduced in 2006. The updated GL received new bumpers, LED headlights and a radiator grille. Inside, the instrument panel and multifunction steering wheel were revised. The X164-bodied GL500 had a 5.5-litre V8 producing 382 hp.

The first-generation Mercedes-Benz GL debuted at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. Designed for the American market, it shared many components with the ML, but was longer and had three rows of seats for seven occupants.
