The car’s story

The scale model of the 1993 Opel Omega MV6 faithfully reproduces the full-size car that finished third in the 1995 European Car of the Year competition. The MV6 designation was used for top-specification cars with V6 engines of 2.5 litres or more. The 2.5-litre engine produced 170 hp, allowing the saloon to reach 228 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.5 seconds.

Compared with its predecessor, the Omega A, the Omega B featured revised exterior styling and an improved interior. Top-level equipment gained leather upholstery, xenon headlights, dual-zone climate control, automatic headlight levelling and an upgraded audio system. Production of the Opel Omega B ended in 2000, when it was replaced by the Omega BB variant. Built until 2003, that version brought the Omega family in Opel’s range to a close.
