The car’s story
The RAF-977 Latvija minibus was produced at the Riga Bus Factory from 1958. Its main components and assemblies came from the GAZ Pobeda. This USSR Auto Legends model represents the RAF-977DM, built from 1968 to 1975.
It was the family’s final basic model.
Compared with the first version, the 977DM featured improved ventilation, interior design and heating, with simplified body panels to reduce production costs. It seated ten passengers plus the driver. Its 2.4-litre engine produced 75 hp and gave a top speed of 110 km/h.
