The car’s story
The Škoda Popular Sport Monte Carlo sports car is known for winning the second heat of the 1936 Monte Carlo Rally. According to some accounts, only two examples of this model were built in 1935.
The car had rear-wheel drive and an inline four-cylinder, four-stroke engine. With a displacement of 1,385 cc, spark ignition and liquid cooling, it produced 36 hp at 4,500 rpm. Top speed did not exceed 110 km/h.
