Talbot Lago T150SS Figoni Falaschi 1938

The Talbot Lago T150 is considered one of the most beautiful French coupes. Some accounts put production with Figoni-Falaschi bodywork at just 16 cars. In 1938 the coachbuilder created the elegant, voluptuous Goutte d’Eau, or teardrop, body as an expression of Expressionism.

The model is also called the Talbot-Lago T150C-SS Teardrop Coupe.

Giuseppe Figoni was a master metalworker. Born in Piacenza, Italy, in 1894, this automotive sculptor emigrated to France with his family as a child. He held patents for a folding soft top and a sunroof. Tony Lago approached him to refresh Talbot's styling. In 1935 Figoni joined Italian-born businessman Ovidio Falaschi to establish Figoni & Falaschi.
