The car’s story

Armour was 13 mm on the front, sides and rear, around 10 mm on the turret, 6 mm on the roof and 4–6 mm on the floor.
The T-40 used a liquid-cooled GAZ-11 carburetted inline six-cylinder engine. It displaced 3,485 cc and produced 85 hp at 3,600 rpm.
Crew: 2; combat weight: 5.5 tonnes. Maximum speed: 50 km/h on land and 6 km/h afloat; range: 300 km. Main armament: a 12.7 mm DShK machine gun of the 1938 model and a 7.62 mm DT of the 1929 model. Ammunition: 500 rounds for the DShK and 2,016 for the DT.
