The car’s story
The UAZ-452V was one of the passenger derivatives of the UAZ-452 utility minibus. Production began with a few prototypes in 1958. The 452V did not enter assembly-line production until 1968 and was built in limited numbers.
The minibus could accommodate ten people and carry them over any roads in any weather. Ground clearance was 230 mm.
It used the UMZ-451, a carburetted four-stroke straight-four engine of 2.445 litres. Output was 72 hp, top speed 95 km/h and average fuel consumption around 13 litres per 100 km.
