The car’s story
The Volga Automobile Plant's VAZ-2103 resembled the popular 2101 in many ways but was positioned as a luxury version. It featured more chrome trim and improved performance. Inside, the dashboard was finished in plastic imitating fine wood.
The first batch of VAZ-2103 cars was built in 1972, and production continued almost unchanged until 1984. A total of 1,304,899 VAZ-2103 Zhiguli cars were made.
