The car’s story
Avtocentre-Tolyatti-VAZ, also called Eastern Ring, produced the Niva Bizon from 1993 using components of the stretched VAZ-2121. Production ended in 1995 because of manufacturing difficulties, high prices and low demand.
It was 4,800 mm long, with 288 mm ground clearance, a 1,998 × 1,633 mm flatbed and a 650 kg payload. The two-seat four-wheel-drive vehicle had a welded frame of closed-section rails reinforced by crossmembers. Rear leaf springs replaced coils, and the rear axle came from UAZ.
