The car’s story
This Volga GAZ-21 emergency response vehicle, bearing registration 24-85бат, is largely a fictional model: no matching full-size vehicle could be found. However, there are reports that fire brigades did have GAZ-21 Volgas at their disposal. Saloons were most often used to transport personnel to the scene of a fire, while estates also frequently served as command vehicles.
