Volga M21R Medical Assistance

There was no real Volga M21R Medical Assistance vehicle: the model was imagined by the craftspeople at Kherson Model. The GAZ-22 estate, however, was extensively used in medicine, with its ambulance version widely serving emergency medical services.

Inside were places for medical staff, a patient stretcher and the minimum necessary medical equipment.

The M21R's only plausible medical role would have been transporting managers of state hospitals or, in exceptional cases, patients who did not need to travel lying down.
