Volkswagen Golf V 3-door Goal Limited Edition

The 2006 Volkswagen Golf V “Goal” was released as a limited edition to mark the 18th FIFA World Cup, held in Germany from 9 June to 9 July. In addition to the Golf, the Goal range included the Golf Plus, Touran and Polo.

Surprisingly, these cars were priced approximately €1,000 lower, depending on the model.

Compared with the basic specification, the limited-edition cars featured an integrated CD stereo, parking sensors, air conditioning, extra trim on the gear lever and steering wheel, and distinctive seat upholstery. Japanese carmakers would simply have laughed at such a supposedly “well-equipped” limited edition.
