This Volkswagen Touareg scale model depicts the first generation, produced from 2002. Its badge identifies the V10 TDI, a 4,921 cc turbocharged diesel. It produced 313 hp at 3,750 rpm and 750 Nm at 2,000 rpm. Top speed was around 225 km/h, with 100 km/h reached in 7.8 seconds. Urban consumption stayed below 17 litres per 100 km and extra-urban consumption below ten.

The Touareg had permanent four-wheel drive with lockable centre and rear differentials, plus independent wishbone air suspension at both ends.
