ZAZ-968M Zaporozhets USSR Auto Legends

The ZAZ-968M Zaporozhets was produced from 1979 to 1994. The updated model's main distinguishing features were rectangular rear lights and the absence of the prominent ‘ear’ air intakes, along with a larger luggage compartment made possible by moving the spare wheel into the engine bay. This time the car was nicknamed the ‘Soap Dish’.

The ZAZ-968M had several versions with different control arrangements, as large numbers were supplied to social welfare agencies and people with disabilities. These included the ZAZ-968MB with hand controls only, the ZAZ-968MG and 968MD for operation with the hands and one leg, and the ZAZ-968MR for people with only one arm and one leg. ZAZ-968MP pickups were also built for the factory's own needs.
