The car’s story
The first prototypes of this luxury limousine for the country's senior leaders were presented at the Kremlin in 1936. The ZIS-101 was very comfortable, with a heater and radio, while a movable glass partition separated the passenger compartment from the front seats.
The car closely resembled a 1932 Buick.
The ZIS-101 had a 90 hp engine. It was assembled from 1936 to 1940, with just over 8,000 cars produced.
