The car’s story

The Lamborghini Jamara debuted at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show. A total of 177 standard GTs were built. Marcello Gandini of Bertone designed the 2+2 coupe, giving it an aggressive appearance through partly concealed headlights and large air intakes on either side of the flat bonnet. The name refers to an area of Spain where fighting bulls were bred.

It inherited most components from the Islero and a shortened chassis from the Espada. The 1,630 kg car had a four-litre V12 producing 350 hp and could reach 260 km/h. Built until 1976, it became the company's last front-engined sports car.
