Russo-Balt C24-40 Limousine

The C-24 series held a key position in the production range of RBVZ, the Russo-Baltic Wagon Works. It accounted for more than 55% of all Russo-Balt cars. Vehicles with open six-seat bodies were widely used as staff cars and ambulances by the Russian army. They also served as the basis for armoured cars.

The Russo-Balt C24-40 and C24-30 had no major fundamental differences in engine design. The valves were arranged on both sides, the cylinders were cast in two blocks, and a pump circulated water through the cooling system. A gear-type oil pump supplied lubricant to the crankshaft bearings.
