Collectors use the term ‘remakes’ for models of foreign cars manufactured in the USSR. They copied an imported model that its original manufacturer had already discontinued.
Unlike regular Soviet scale models, remakes were produced in toy factories and sold in toy departments rather than souvenir departments.
