The car’s story
The first GAZ-3110s used the ZMZ-402.10 engine, part of the Zavolzhye Motor Plant's family of four-cylinder petrol engines. It was developed by updating the ZMZ-24.
It could run on 92-octane petrol, but most owners modified it to use cheaper A-76 fuel.
The GAZ-3110's main shortcomings were build quality and poor body corrosion resistance. Its generally outdated design also failed to provide adequate active and passive safety. Nevertheless, its spaciousness and low price attracted buyers.
