Moskvich-427 USSR Auto Legends

The Moskvich-427 was a derivative of the 426, fitted with the 412 power unit made by the Ufa Engine Plant. A total of 32,849 cars were built between 1968 and 1976. In 1970, the car was restyled with a new front fascia and rectangular FER headlights. The Moskvich-427 estate's kerb weight could reach 2,750 kg, as demonstrated by the 427 support cars used on the London–Mexico rally. An interesting feature was its rear door, originally split into two sections like that of the GAZ-22 Volga. From 1972, it became a single-piece tailgate for greater convenience.
