The car’s story
This UAZ-469 Buggy is more of a rally vehicle. Preparing such an off-roader for competition usually leaves little of the standard UAZ-469. The engine is among the first items replaced with a stronger unit, or the existing three-litre engine is tuned.
Suspension and axles follow. A roll cage, different wheels and comfortable seats with good harnesses for driver and navigator are essential. Standard military tyres suit ordinary mud driving, but trophy raids call for larger, wider tyres. Removing spare seats and other unnecessary items reduces excess weight.
