SONIC INTERNATIONAL (TOYS) LIMITED established the IXO Models brand in China to combine advanced manufacturing technologies with the expertise of highly qualified marketing and model-making specialists.
Production is based near Shenzhen, 60 km from Hong Kong. The staff are true automotive enthusiasts, following developments in the car industry and motorsport daily and closely studying the cars, drivers and results of teams competing in major events.
Each year, the marketing team selects a limited number of cars to reproduce as IXO models. It first obtains permission from the car manufacturer or racing-team owner, then gathers documentation such as computer-modelling data, photographs and factory drawings. To document racing cars, specialists attend major events including the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Monte Carlo, as well as motor shows.
